Using this site

Terms of use

The short version: use this site to learn about us, ask for help, volunteer or give. We help where we can but we’re not an emergency service, and gifts go through Zeffy under its terms.

Effective October 12, 2026

About these terms

These terms cover your use of sdahacares.org, which SDAHA International (Salomante-Dayap Assistance for Humanity and All International), a volunteer-run Texas nonprofit, runs. By using the site you agree to them. How we handle your information is explained in our privacy notice.

We’re not an emergency service

SDAHA is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 in the United States, or 911, the national emergency hotline, in the Philippines. In the United States you can also find local help through 211 (opens in a new tab).

Asking for help

Sending a request doesn’t guarantee assistance. We help where we can, with the volunteers and resources we have. Please give accurate information, and tell us about someone else only if they agree.

Volunteering

Volunteer applications have their own terms, including a liability waiver, which the application shows in full before you agree. Those terms apply to volunteering with us; these terms apply to the website.

Donations

Donations are made through Zeffy and processed by Stripe, under Zeffy’s terms of use (opens in a new tab). SDAHA International is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 33-4229236), so gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Zeffy emails your receipt.

Gifts through our donation form go to our current campaign, Adopt a Barangay. If a campaign raises more than it needs, we use the rest for our other programs.

If you gave by mistake, or want to ask about a refund, write to danilo.salomante@gmail.com and we’ll work it out with you through Zeffy. An optional tip you gave Zeffy is Zeffy’s to refund, as its terms explain.

Our words and pictures

The words, illustrations and photos on this site belong to SDAHA or the people who made them. You’re welcome to share links and to quote short passages with credit. Please don’t use our name or logo to suggest we endorse something without asking us first. Names and marks of other organizations, such as BACA, belong to them.

Using the site fairly

Please don’t misuse the site: don’t send spam or harmful code, don’t try to get into parts of it that aren’t public or to overload it, and don’t use our forms to send someone else’s information without their agreement.

No warranty

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent Texas law allows, SDAHA and its volunteers aren’t liable for losses that come from using the site or from relying on it.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas. Any dispute about them belongs in the courts of Collin County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update these terms as the site changes. When we change them in a way that matters, we’ll say what changed, and when, at the top of this page before the change takes effect.
